Job summary

Wieuca Animal Clinic in Sandy Springs, GA is hiring a Veterinary Kennel Technician to provide top-tier care for hospitalized pets, including feeding, walking, and comforting dogs and cats.

You will work closely with veterinarians and technicians in a supportive, team-driven setting.

Qualifications

• Experience working with animals in a clinical or shelter setting preferred.
• Calm, patient, and kind with pets and people.
• Able to handle energetic dogs and curious cats in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and follow veterinary staff instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide TLC to hospitalized pets and reassure them throughout their stay.
• Assist with feeding, walking, cuddling, and daily care of furry guests.
• Keep kennels clean and organized to maintain a sanitary environment.
• Monitor pet health and report concerns to the veterinary team.
• Assist technicians and doctors as needed during examinations and procedures.
• Build rapport with dogs and cats to support a positive guest experience.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Providing top-tier TLC to hospitalized pets
• Feeding, walking, cuddling, and reassuring furry guests
• Cleaning kennels so well they sparkle like a freshly bathed Samoyed
• Monitoring pet health and reporting concerns to the veterinary team
• Assisting technicians and doctors when needed
• Becoming best friends with at least 3 dogs and 2 cats per shift (unofficial requirement)

Qualifications

• Aren’t afraid of fur on your scrubs (it’s basically glitter)
• Can handle enthusiastic tail wags and the occasional dramatic Chihuahua
• Are calm, patient, and kind — even when someone hisses at you
• Have experience working with animals (preferred, but we’ll train the right human!)
