Job summary

Azalea City Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Kennel Assistant to support patient care and client service in a fast-paced, multi-doctor animal hospital.

The Kennel Assistant maintains back-of-house duties, cares for boarding animals, follows feeding schedules, provides prescribed medications, cleans kennels, bathes animals, and communicates with clients. Equal employment opportunities are offered and ADA accommodations are available.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
• Prior customer service experience.
• Prior experience working with animals in a hospital setting.
• Ability to work in a wet environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain back-of-hospital duties and kennel area.
• Care for boarding animals and follow feeding schedules; provide prescribed medications.
• Clean and bathe animals; ensure high level of care for all pets.
• Communicate directly with clients and hospital staff.
