Lake City Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Kennel Assistant to support patient care and client service in a fast-paced, multi-doctor practice. The role focuses on back-of-house duties, boarding care, feeding schedules, and medication administration to pets.

The ideal candidate is a compassionate, reliable team player with strong communication and organizational skills, prepared to work weekends and on-site to ensure safety and well-being of patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates professionalism, dependability, healthy and positive communication skills, and the ability to multi-task in a hands-on environment.
• Energetic people-and-pet person with excellent work ethic and social and organizational skills.
• Be compassionate/caring.
• Willing to work flexible hours including weekends.

Responsabilités

• Caring for boarding animals and maintaining feeding schedules.
• Providing prescribed medication to pets as directed.
• Maintaining the kennel area with cleaning and mopping.
• Bathing animals and upholding the highest level of care for all pets.
• Communicating directly with clients and supporting hospital operations.
• General cleaning of the hospital as needed.
