Job summary

Veterinary Care & Specialty Group (VCSG) in Chattanooga seeks a part-time Inventory Assistant to support the Inventory Coordinator in a busy veterinary hospital. The role focuses on accurate stocking, restocking and safe handling of equipment while maintaining organized inventory areas.

Ideal candidates are organized, detail-oriented and comfortable around animals, with the ability to lift, bend and work Mon/Wed/Thu 8am–5pm, plus 4 Saturdays per year.

Responsibilities

• Stock all areas of the hospital as needed; unpack shipments; order supplies as directed.

• Assist with inventory stock maintenance and quarterly counts.
• Assist with deliveries or pickups from vendors.
• Maintain a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for supporting the inventory coordinator with stocking all areas of the hospital as needed, unpacking shipments, ordering supplies as directed
• Interface with multiple organizational levels and disciplines to review and maintain inventory
• Assisting the Inventory Coordinator in ensuring inventory levels are maintained to prevent disruptions in business operations
• Will assist with inventory stock maintenance and quarterly inventory counts
• Assist with deliveries or pickup of materials from 3rd party vendors
• Maintain a safe work environment

Requirements/Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Required to work 4 Saturdays per year
• Be available to work Monday, Wednesday, & Thursdays 8am to 5pm
• Able to lift, squat and bend
• Must be comfortable working around animals
