Qualifications

• DVM or VMD degree from an accredited college.
• 1-year rotational internship in small animal medicine/ER.
• Completion of a 3-year AVMA-approved residency.
• Active State Veterinary License and DEA registration.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups.
• Communicate with clients and provide education.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Prescribe medications and manage controlled substances.
• Promote teamwork and support hospital operations.
• Collaborate with Hospital Manager on priorities and rounds.
• Monitor daily hospital protocols from intake to discharge.
• Attend rounds to ensure high standards of care.
