Diagnose and manage complex small animal internal medicine cases
Conduct comprehensive specialist consultations and clinical assessments
Develop individualised diagnostic and treatment plans
Perform and interpret advanced diagnostic investigations
Manage acute, chronic, and multisystem disease
Perform specialist internal medicine procedures appropriate to training and experience
Monitor treatment response and adjust patient management plans when required
Collaborate with other veterinary clinicians on multidisciplinary cases
Communicate diagnoses, prognoses, and treatment recommendations clearly with pet owners
Maintain effective communication with referring veterinarians
Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records
Support clinical education, mentorship, and knowledge sharing
Contribute to the continued development of the internal medicine service
Applicants should hold a DVM or equivalent veterinary degree and be board-certified or residency-trained in Small Animal Internal Medicine.
Candidates should hold, or be eligible to obtain, an active Kentucky veterinary licence and any additional professional credentials required for specialist practice.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent clinical judgement, communication skills, and confidence managing complex medical cases.
