Job summary

purovets in Central Florida, Winter Haven area, seeks an Internal Medicine Specialist (DVM) to join the dedicated team. The role offers a base salary of $250,000–$275,000 with total compensation >$300,000, plus bonuses and comprehensive benefits.

The successful candidate will develop and expand the internal medicine service, manage cases, collaborate with surgeons and specialists, and contribute to research and teaching efforts within a privately owned, hospital-based practice.

Qualifications

• DACVIM board certification or completion of an approved internal medicine residency.
• US veterinary licence, or eligibility to obtain a Florida licence.
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills in internal medicine.
• A collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
• Excellent communication and client-care skills.
• An interest in innovation, research and emerging approaches to veterinary medicine.
• An interest in nutrition, metabolic health, rehabilitation or integrative medicine.

Responsibilities

• Managing a varied internal medicine caseload.
• Providing advanced diagnostic and treatment plans.
• Collaborating with specialists across surgery, neurology, cardiology and emergency medicine.
• Performing and interpreting advanced diagnostic procedures.
• Supporting multidisciplinary and whole-patient care.
• Contributing to the development of new services and treatment approaches.
