Texoma Veterinary Hospital in Sherman, TX, is expanding our specialty team to hire a Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist. The role offers a competitive salary and a modern, fully equipped facility with CT, ultrasound, and in-house labs.

We seek board-certified or residency-trained candidates, with no weekend appointments and hours from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., to maintain excellent work-life balance and exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• DVM degree from an AVMA-accredited program.
• State licensure to practice veterinary medicine.
• Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD registration.

Responsibilities

• Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine disease or injury.
• Operate diagnostic equipment and collect samples, interpreting results.
• Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
• Perform surgery and prescribe medications as needed.
• Provide counsel around pet end-of-life care.
• Maintain patients' medical records and ensure compliance with veterinary ethics.
