Qualifications

• Must hold a DVM degree from an AVMA-accredited institution.
• State licensure appropriate to practice in Texas (or eligibility).
• DEA/BNDD registration eligibility.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Examine and treat companion animals to diagnose disease or injury.
• Operate diagnostic equipment and interpret results.
• Advise owners on preventative care and treatment options.
• Perform surgery and prescribe medications as needed.
• Provide counseling on pet end-of-life care.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and applicable laws.
