Job summary

MissionVet Specialty & Emergency in San Antonio seeks a third-board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Internist to join our Internal Medicine service. You will manage a diverse caseload and collaborate with Surgery & Orthopedics, Neurology & Neurosurgery, Oncology, Critical Care and Emergency Medicine using advanced diagnostics.

You will practice in a large specialty and emergency hospital with comprehensive imaging and endoscopy, enjoy a supportive culture focused on work-life balance,

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree eligible for state licensure.
• Board-certified internist or residency-trained in internal medicine.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills with exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse internal medicine caseload within an established service.
• Perform advanced diagnostics and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
• Collaborate with Surgery, Neurology, Oncology, Critical Care and Emergency Medicine.
• Utilize CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and endoscopy when appropriate.
• Participate in case consultation and multidisciplinary rounds.
• Contribute to growth and development of the Internal Medicine service.
