Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist
Full-Time opportunity in San Antonio, Texas
MissionVet is seeking a third board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Internist to join our established Internal Medicine service. You’ll work alongside an experienced specialty team and have the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload while collaborating closely with Surgery & Orthopedics, Neurology & Neurosurgery, Oncology, Critical Care, and Emergency Medicine.
You’ll practice in a 13,000-square-foot specialty and emergency hospital with 5 operating rooms, 13 exam rooms, multiple procedure rooms, and advanced diagnostic capabilities including a 1.5T MRI, 16-slice CT, C-arm fluoroscopy, advanced ultrasound, and state-of-the-art endoscopy.

In your day-to-day, you will:
· Manage a diverse Internal Medicine caseload within an established specialty service.
· Perform advanced diagnostic evaluations and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
· Work closely with Surgery & Orthopedics, Neurology & Neurosurgery, Oncology, Critical Care, and Emergency Medicine.
· Utilize advanced diagnostic capabilities including CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and endoscopy.
· Collaborate with referring veterinarians throughout San Antonio and South and West Texas.
· Participate in case consultation, mentorship, and multidisciplinary rounds.
· Contribute to the continued growth and development of MissionVet’s Internal Medicine service.
· Participate in continuing education and stay current with advances in veterinary medicine.
· Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients while providing exceptional patient care.
· Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.
What You Bring
· DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
· Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Residency Trained in Internal Medicine.
· Strong diagnostic and clinical skills with a commitment to exceptional patient care.
· Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
· A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working within a multidisciplinary specialty team.
