Job summary

Cladda Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Team in Fredericksburg, VA seeks a Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist (DVM/DACVIM). You will lead complex medical cases, perform advanced diagnostics, and collaborate with emergency and surgery teams to ensure coordinated patient care.

Board certification with DACVIM is preferred or board-eligible; Virginia license is required. The role offers relocation assistance, a collaborative team, and full benefits within a 24-hour emergency and specialty

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD with completion of an accredited internal medicine residency.
• Board certification with the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (DACVIM) preferred; board-eligible candidates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of complex medical patients across endocrine, GI, renal, hepatic, hematologic and immune-mediated diseases.
• Perform and interpret advanced diagnostics (ultrasound, endoscopy, cytology).
• Collaborate with emergency, surgery and other specialty services on multidisciplinary cases.
• Build and mentor a technical support team for internal medicine.
• Engage in client communication and referring veterinarian relationships.
