Job summary

Capital District Veterinary Referral Hospital (CDVRH) in Latham, NY is seeking an Internal Medicine Specialist for a full-time, permanent position. You’ll lead the Internal Medicine service with clinical autonomy and collaborate with our 24/7 emergency and specialty teams.

This 15,000-square-foot hospital offers ultrasound, digital radiography, and an 8-slice CT, with support from Ethos Veterinary Health. Competitive compensation ($200k–$250k) and relocation assistance are provided.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree with NY licensure eligibility.
• Board Certification in Internal Medicine or residency in Internal Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex internal medicine cases spanning GI, hepatobiliary, infectious disease, endocrine, hematologic, and respiratory conditions.
• Perform and/or order diagnostics such as ultrasound, endoscopy, fluoroscopy, and CT.
• Coordinate with specialty and emergency teams on shared patients and transfers.
• Mentor technicians and assistants as part of daily case management.
• Pursue growth opportunities in ultrasound proficiency, IR procedures, and electrochemotherapy (ECT) training.
