This role encompasses the full scope of Medical Veterinary Hospitalist responsibilities, providing comprehensive inpatient care for a diverse caseload of hospitalized patients. You will work closely with specialists across multiple disciplines to ensure continuity of care, monitor patient progress, develop treatment plans, and deliver high-quality medical management for complex cases. The position involves a combination of day and swing shifts, offering exposure to a broad range of emergency and specialty cases. The hospital operates Monday from 7:30am to 12:00am, Tuesday through Friday 24 hours a day, and Saturday and Sunday from 7:30am to 12:00am. The practice offers specialty services across virtually all veterinary disciplines, including Emergency and Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Oncology, Surgery, and Orthopedics, providing clinicians with exposure to a varied and complex referral caseload. The hospital is equipped with, but not limited to, MRI, CT, full endoscopy capabilities, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, telemetry, and comprehensive in-house laboratory capabilities, supporting advanced diagnostics and treatment. Housed within a newly remodeled facility, the practice also features advanced anesthetic monitoring to support the management of complex medical and surgical patients. As a VECCS Level II facility, an ACVECC Level III Veterinary Trauma Center, and an AAHA-accredited hospital, the practice is committed to maintaining exceptional standards of patient care while providing clinicians with the resources needed to practice advanced veterinary medicine.
You will be joining a team of 14 DVMs within a supportive, multi-specialty environment, alongside dedicated veterinary technicians and client service professionals who share a commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care.
