Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Hospital Shift Lead to guide the team, support the Practice Manager, and ensure exceptional client and pet experiences. The Shift Lead may also serve as a Client Services Coordinator and Veterinary Assistant as needed, ensuring high-quality care and service.

The ideal candidate has veterinary hospital experience, is able to work long hours including weekends and evenings, and can uphold the hospital's standards and five principles in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Two years of veterinary hospital experience.
• High School Diploma preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have the ability to work weekends and evening shifts.
• Must be comfortable working around animals and in a noisy environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise hospital team to maximize productivity and profitability.
• Assist the Practice Manager and Chief of Staff and ensure effective communication with clients and colleagues.
• Perform Client Services Coordinator and Veterinary Assistant duties as needed.
• Provide professional, efficient client service and educate clients on wellness plans and hospital services.
• Schedule associates to meet client needs and proactively plan time off and CE.
