Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. is seeking a Hospital Leader On Duty to provide excellent veterinary care and outstanding customer service in our full-service hospital.

You will set the tone with the team, supervise paraprofessional staff, and partner with veterinarians to ensure compassionate, efficient care for every patient. The role requires leadership, at least 1 year of veterinary practice experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage appointments, records, and emergencies

Qualifications

• Preferred 1 year of experience in a veterinary practice.
• Must have leadership capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Compassionate and professional demeanor in stressful situations.
• Must have telephone and computer skills.
• Team player willing to learn and adapt.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients, record vitals and histories in EMR.
• Assist doctors with appointments, surgery, dentistry, and euthanasia.
• Handle and dispense medications and maintain EMR.
• Monitor phones, schedule appointments, educate clients, and route test results.
• Prepare patients for procedures and oversee anesthesia under supervision.
• In-hospital treatments and fluid therapy; care for patients.
• Train new staff and maintain hospital cleanliness.
• Oversee hospital operations and supervise paraprofessional staff.
