Petco is seeking a Hospital Leader On Duty to provide exceptional veterinary care and customer service for our full‑service hospital patients. You will set the tone for the hospital with clinical and support teams, ensuring cohesive teamwork and high-quality patient outcomes.

The role involves leading procedures, coordinating care with veterinarians and technicians, and guiding staff through daily operations.

Qualifications

• Preferred 1 year of veterinary practice experience.
• Strong leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients, obtain vitals, and document histories in the EMR.
• Assist doctors with appointments, surgery, dentistry, and euthanasia under supervision.
• Handle medications and support anesthesia and recovery as directed.
• Maintain hospital cleanliness and inventory; train staff as needed.
• Oversee paraprofessional staff and contribute to continuous improvement.
