Job description

At Moffett Veterinary Hospital, we provide a wide range of services for dogs and cats, including preventive care, surgery (general and some orthopedics), routine dental cleaning and radiographs, in-house labs, boarding, bathing, grooming, and more!

Join a supportive team in a high-end, modern environment. Pet Groomers will perform top-quality grooms in a timely manner. Groomers should have current grooming experience and be able to consistently provide pups and parents with a high level of gentle and professional care. Job duties may include but are not limited to:

1. Cleaning the dog's teeth
2. Maintaining an upbeat attitude
3. Calming anxious dogs
4. Ensuring company policies are followed
5. Communicating effectively with clients to understand their needs
6. Shampooing and washing a dog's hair or fur
7. Creating a welcoming environment for dogs and their owners
8. Cutting or shaving a dog's hair or fur

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Proficiency in grooming
• Ability to lift dogs weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work professionally
• A calming presence with pets
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Ability to work well in a team
