Texas A&M University’s Vet Med Small Animal Medicine & Surgery division seeks a Diagnostic Laboratory Technician I in College Station, TX. The role supports routine diagnostics, data entry, and customer service in a fast-paced clinical lab.

Minimum education is a bachelor’s degree or equivalent; preferred one year of scientific or clinical experience and ability to use common lab equipment such as spectrophotometer and pH meters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One year in scientific research, clinical, operational, or experimental work.
• Ability to use routine lab equipment such as spectrophotometer and pH meters.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics: Performs routine diagnostics using standard methods and instrumentation for GI function in veterinary patients.
• Data Entry: Enters patient data and verifies results in databases and spreadsheets.
• Supplies: Maintains records of supplies and reagents for diagnostic testing.
• Customer Service: Assists GI Lab Admins in customer service and communicates with clients.
• Training: Assists in training student employees in the laboratory.
