Job summary

Veterinary Referral Center of Central Oregon is seeking a Part-Time Facility Support Technician dedicated to maintaining a clean, safe environment for patients and staff. You will work as part of a compassionate team to sanitize exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical suites, while supporting floor care, waste management, and lobby upkeep.

Qualifications

  • Attention to Detail: you notice the spot everyone else missed.
  • Reliability: you understand a medical facility needs a consistent cleaning schedule.
  • Stamina: ability to be on your feet for a shift and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Communication: follow written protocols and communicate with medical staff.
  • Medical setting exp: prior experience in a medical/dental/veterinary setting is a plus; training available.

Responsibilities

  • Clinical Sanitation: deep clean and disinfect exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical suites following medical protocols.
  • Floor Care: sweep, mop, and operate floor scrubbers in high-traffic areas.
  • Waste Management: safely dispose of general waste and recycling; manage biohazard containers per safety rules.
  • Lobby & Public Spaces: keep waiting areas clean and presentable, including glass, dusting, and restrooms.
  • Supply Management: monitor cleaning inventory and inform management when restocking.
  • Exterior Maintenance: keep entryway and perimeter clear of debris or pet waste.

We are looking for a detail-oriented, reliable individual to join our team as a Part-Time Facility Support Technician. This isn't just a "cleaning job"—you are a crucial part of our infection control team. Your work directly ensures that our doctors and nurses can save lives in a safe, sanitary environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Sanitation: Deep clean and disinfect exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical suites following strict medical protocols.
  • Floor Care: Sweep, mop, and operate floor scrubbers in high-traffic hallways and lobby areas.
  • Waste Management: Safely dispose of general waste and recycling; ensure biohazard containers are handled according to safety regulations.
  • Lobby & Public Spaces: Maintain a five-star appearance in our waiting area, including glass cleaning, dusting, and restroom sanitization.
  • Supply Management: Monitor cleaning inventory and notify management when supplies need restocking.
  • Exterior Maintenance: Keep the entryway and immediate perimeter of the clinic clear of debris or pet waste.
