Job summary

West Salem Veterinary Clinic is offering a veterinary externship designed for clinical-year students. Externships range from two to eight weeks, and eligible students may receive a travel/living expense stipend.

Qualifications

• Externship eligibility for veterinary students in clinical year.
• Hands-on exposure to exam, treatment planning and diagnostics.
• Opportunity to practice communication with team and clients.

Responsibilities

• Gather patient histories and perform physical exams.
• Create treatment plans and discuss options with supervising veterinarians.
• Assist or perform dentistry, surgeries, and medical management as allowed.
• Observe and assist with procedures and client communication.
