Job description

Sheridan Road Veterinary Clinic is a busy, high-traffic veterinary practice that offers a variety of services including dental care, general surgery, mass removals, orthopedic procedures, enucleations, and exploratory surgeries. We see approximately 40 patients daily and operate without on-call doctors, catering to walk-ins and emergencies.

We are seeking veterinary externs to work closely with our Associate Veterinarians, gaining experience in patient histories, physical exams, treatment plans, diagnostics, dentistry, surgical procedures, and medical management. This externship provides an excellent opportunity to develop clinical and communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients.

Externships typically range from two to eight weeks, depending on schedules. All veterinary students, regardless of class year, are encouraged to participate through NVA externship programs.

Eligible veterinary students in the clinical phase of their education may receive a travel/living expense stipend. Please click here to view stipend amounts and details about the stipend program.
