Job summary

NVA General Practice recherche un extern vétérinaire pour une expérience pratique dans un environnement clinique. An externship at an NVA hospital offers students a unique opportunity to understand daily operations and gain hands-on clinical experience. While each hospital is unique, all share a supportive environment committed to excellent medicine and providing exceptional service to animals and their owners.

Students will work closely with supervising Associate Veterinarians to gain experience in gathering patient histories, performing physical exams, creating treatment plans, diagnostics, dentistry, observing or assisting in surgical procedures, and medical management. Additionally, externs will practice communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients.

Externship durations at Stoughton Veterinary Service typically range from two to eight weeks, depending on schedules. These externships are available to students in their clinical year.
