Clinton Parkway Animal Hospital in Lawrence, KS offers a comprehensive externship experience for veterinary students within a collaborative five-doctor / three-RVT team. Externs will observe wellness visits, diagnostic workups for sick pets, and routine surgical and dentistry cases while gaining hands-on client communication experience.
Externs may participate in emergency surgeries and attend weekly rounds to discuss challenging cases with the veterinary team.
Clinton Parkway Animal Hospital is a 50‑year‑old, AAHA‑accredited practice in Lawrence, KS that offers a comprehensive intern‑level externship experience with a 5‑doctor / 3‑RVT team.
Externs will observe wellness appointments, diagnostic work‑ups for sick pets, routine surgical and dentistry cases, and available emergency surgeries. Students will spend time in exam rooms with clients to practice communication skills and attend weekly rounds with the veterinary team to discuss challenging cases.
All veterinary students, regardless of class year, are encouraged to participate in the National Veterinary Associates externship program. Students in the clinical portion of their coursework may receive a travel and living expense stipend.
Students in the clinical portion of their education are eligible for a travel/living expense stipend. The stipend amounts are published by NVA and details are available upon request.
