Manvel Animal Clinic offers $2,500 travel stipends for clinical rotations!
Manvel Animal Clinic is an AAHA-accredited 3-doctor practice with 5 technicians and 2 CSRs. We have been operating since 1973 and proudly employ a hometown team with extremely low turnover. Our doctors love to teach and we have an affiliation with Manvel Animal Control. We have x-ray, ultrasound, dental, and Phovia Fluorescent Light Therapy equipment. Manvel is one of the fastest growing suburbs in Houston and beloved for its small town feel.
Students will work closely with the supervising veterinarian to gain experience in gathering patient histories, performing physical exams, creating treatment plans, diagnostics, dentistry services, observing/assisting or performing surgical procedures, and medical management of patients. In addition to practicing their clinical skills, student externs will have the opportunity to practice their communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients.
Most externship experiences range from two to eight weeks depending on student and hospital schedules. All veterinary students (regardless of class year) are encouraged to participate in NVA externships.
