Participants will work closely with veterinarians on various tasks, including examinations, treatment planning, and surgical assistance, with a travel stipend to support living expenses.

Externship durations typically range from two to eight weeks, depending on student and hospital schedules. All veterinary students, regardless of class year, are encouraged to participate in NVA externships.
