NVA General Practice in Kernersville offers externship opportunities for veterinary students to enhance their clinical skills in a walk-in clinic setting. Students will work under the guidance of a supervising veterinarian and gain hands-on experience in tasks such as patient history gathering, physical exams, and surgical procedures.
The externship spans two to eight weeks, accommodating various student schedules, and includes a stipend for travel and living expenses. All veterinary students are encouraged to apply, irrespective of their class year.
Kernersville Veterinary Hospital is mostly a walk‑in clinic, so students will get to experience a variety of cases. It provides urgent care and wellness appointments, giving veterinary students exposure to many different experiences.
