Job summary

MedVet offers an Emergency Clinician Mentorship Program (ECMP) for new graduates, providing immersive, one-on-one training to launch an emergency veterinary career. The paid program combines mentored ER experience with specialty rotations, preparing you to step into a full Emergency Clinician role within a multi-specialty network.

You will receive didactics, access to medical journals via OVID, and POCUS training, supported by a veterinarian-owned and -led team focused on advancing care for pets.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent from AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
• Licensed or license-eligible to practice in the state of the assigned hospital.
• Two letters of recommendation from clinical faculty.
• Passionate about emergency medicine and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Participate in immersive 1:1 mentorship with ER doctor mentors.
• Complete training phases: Direct, Indirect, Independent.
• Engage in specialty rotations: Critical Care, Radiology, Internal Medicine, Surgery.
• Attend didactics and access medical journals via OVID; learn POCUS.

Are you a new or recent veterinary graduate eager to make a difference in emergency medicine? MedVet’s Emergency Clinician Mentorship Program (ECMP) offers immersive, one-on-one training designed to help you confidently launch your emergency veterinary career.

Through a paid program that combines mentored ER experience with specialty rotations, you’ll strengthen your clinical skills while being supported by a collaborative, veterinarian-owned and -led network. After successfully completing ECMP, you’ll step into a full Emergency Clinician role within a multi-specialty organization dedicated to advancing care for pets.
