Job summary

Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists is seeking a board-certified, board-eligible, or residency-trained Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Specialist to join our expanding ECC team serving Buzzards Bay and Dennis, Massachusetts. Our hospital is growing to add advanced imaging (MRI, fluoroscopy) and new specialty services, offering a collaborative environment for teaching and complex case management.

We provide a base salary of $200,000–$250,000, a pooled production bonus, a four-day workweek

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree and eligibility for Massachusetts licensure.
• Completion of ECC residency and board certification/eligibility.
• NAVLE clearances and any required regional credentials (PAVES/ECFVG).

Responsibilities

• ICU and ER management, emergency receiving.
• Management of complex and critically ill patients.
• Collaboration across specialty services.
• Teaching and mentorship of interns, residents, and veterinary nursing staff.
• Participation in the continued growth and development of the ECC service.

Education

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent

Completion of an Emergency and Critical Care residency

Passed NAVLE, and if necessary, PAVES or ECFVG, prior to application

Board certification or board eligibility through the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ACVECC) or equivalent

Massachusetts veterinary licensure, or eligibility to obtain

DEA registration and Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration, or eligibility to obtain both
