Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in clinical microbiology or related biology field and three years of laboratory experience.
• Experience with culture, identification and susceptibility testing; ELISAs, PCRs and fecal flotations.
• May obtain certification in testing for Equine Infectious Anemia and assist in reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic techniques across bacteriology, mycology, mycoplasma, serology, virology and parasitology.
• Enter lab results into the hospital information system and prepare shipments to referral labs.
• Maintain equipment QC, manage hazardous waste inventory, and assist in training staff.
