Rarebreed Veterinary Partners is recruiting a Veterinary Criticalist (DACVECC) for our Eastern Pennsylvania Medical Center in Allentown, PA. The role focuses on ICU supervision, advanced diagnostic procedures, and collaboration with specialty services to deliver high-level patient care.

Qualifications

• DVM required and licensed to practice in PA or eligible for PA license.
• Board certification/eligibility in DACVECC required or pursued.
• Strong clinical judgment in high-acuity critical care.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Team-oriented approach with mentorship focus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ICU patients including trauma, sepsis, shock, and post-op critical cases.
• Perform advanced diagnostics: point-of-care ultrasound, arterial/central line placement, continuous monitoring.
• Provide guidance on emergency stabilization for ER/ICU staff.
• Communicate diagnoses, options, prognoses, and updates to clients.
• Collaborate with surgery, internal medicine, neurology, and other departments.
