Eastern Carolina Veterinary Medical Center in Wilmington, North Carolina seeks a veterinary criticalist to lead our Emergency & Critical Care Service. We are the only 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital on the North Carolina coast, with a high caseload of critically ill and injured patients and a brand-new 32,000 square foot facility equipped with MRI, GE CT, ultrasound, and full IDEXX labs.

• Board-certified or residency-trained veterinary criticalist preferred.
• Interest in Emergency & Critical Care leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Emergency & Critical Care Service at a 24-hour specialty hospital.
• Collaborate with surgeons, sports medicine, ophthalmology, and radiology teams to provide high-quality patient care.
• Contribute to research activities through Ethos Science.

If so, Eastern Carolina Veterinary Medical Center in Wilmington, North Carolina wants to hear from you! As the only 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital in coastal North Carolina, we have a high caseload of critically ill and injured patients. Our team is expanding, and we are looking to hire a Criticalist to further develop our Emergency & Critical Care Service. Our team consists of 10 full-time emergency veterinarians who work in conjunction with specialists in surgery, sports medicine and rehabilitation, ophthalmology, and radiology. We are moving to a brand new 32,000 square foot state of the art facility. We are equipped with an MRI, 2 digital radiography units, ultrasound, a 118-slice GE CT scanner, flexible endoscopy, Snyder oxygen cage banks, full in-house IDEXX lab systems, arthroscopy, and a ForceTriad Electrosurgical Unit. The right individuals will have a strong desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and team-oriented environment with focus on excellent patient care and communication with clients and referring veterinarians.
