Nestled in the picturesque Chesapeake Bay, just 5 minutes from Historic Annapolis, is our new state-of-the-art 28,000 sq. ft. emergency referral center open 24 hours / 375 days a year.

We have 28 veterinarians, 60 veterinary nurses, 10 lab technicians, 10 assistants, and 15 client service representatives. Our doctors are supported by dedicated personal assistants who run errands throughout the day. We offer a spacious break room and outdoor picnic seating area. For moments of peace, our ER department features an exclusive relaxation room away from the ICU, with a desk and bed for writing records or taking a quick nap.

We offer:

  • Generous compensation of $210,000 to $230,000 depending on experience and qualifications
  • On-site occupational therapist
  • Quarterly food trucks & various meal deliveries

Anne Arundel Veterinary Emergency Clinic (AAVEC), founded in 1991, is part of the Chesapeake Veterinary Referral Center. Our specialty services include oncology, radiation oncology, internal medicine, advanced soft-tissue & orthopedic surgery, ophthalmology, neurology, imaging, cardiology, radiology, and physical rehabilitation. Advanced diagnostics such as CT, MRI, ultrasound, endoscopy, digital radiography, and an in-house IDEXX laboratory are available on-site. Fluoroscopy is coming soon! Our hospital features 8 surgical suites, a comprehensive pharmacy, 3 radiology suites, an isolation ward with vestibule and walking area, a hyperbaric oxygen chamber, 4 Snyder oxygen suites, Bluetooth telemetry, and an underwater treadmill.

We invite you to visit our facility and explore Annapolis, MD, a city that combines big-city amenities with small-town charm. Enjoy sunset sailing on the Severn River, fine dining, sporting events, shopping, and nightlife.
