Job summary

Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory (TVMDL) in College Station seeks a Clinical Pathologist I to perform diagnostic testing in a fast-paced environment. You will interpret cytology, smear evaluations, and endocrinology panels while interacting with TVMDL clients and guiding technical staff.

You will enter and review results in LIMS, maintain quality standards, mentor residents, and collaborate with endocrinology and diagnostic teams. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• DVM degree from AVMA-accredited university.
• Completion of a clinical pathology residency or eligibility for board exams.
• Two years of related experience in clinical pathology.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic testing in the clinical pathology section, including cytology evaluation and smear review.
• Interprets serum protein electrophoresis tracings and blood smears; consults with TVMDL clients.
• Enters pathology reports into LIMS and assists in review and release of results.
• Trains staff, mentorship of residents, and leads QA activities within the section.
• Coordinates testing and communicates findings with clinicians across TVMDL locations.
