Job summary

The JOY FM is seeking a hands-on clinic assistant to keep the facility clean and well-stocked, assist with patient care, and support staff across daily tasks. Responsibilities include cleaning cages and rooms, sterilizing equipment, and helping with reception duties as needed.

The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong work ethic, the ability to learn quickly, and comfort handling small animals. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work 38–45 hours per week, including one Saturday morning per month.

Qualifications

• Must possess a good work ethic.
• Learn new tasks quickly and complete tasks efficiently.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Able to restrain large canine patients.
• Able to sweep/mop without issue.
• Natural ability with small animals.

Responsibilities

• Keep all areas of clinic clean: cages, exam tables, rooms, and lobby.
• Unpack and stock inventory.
• Assist support staff with patient care and daily tasks as needed.
• Clean and sterilize surgical equipment.
• Assist with patient restraint.
• Assist reception staff with filing, restocking, and carrying food purchases.
• Help all staff members with any task needed.
