The Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive Veterinary Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will partner with Veterinarians and Vet Techs to deliver exceptional pet care, support procedures, and provide compassionate client interactions. This is a full-time position (40 hours/week) with a rotating schedule of four 10-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Scribe during veterinary visits
• Support with surgeries, x-rays, treatments, and procedures
• Handle and restrain pets compassionately
• Record and report patient symptoms
• Maintain clinic cleanliness and supplies
• Communicate pricing and treatment plans clearly
• Assist with client interactions, scheduling, and education
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a veterinary or kennel assistant
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology
• Excellent communication skills
• High attention to detail and multitasking ability
• Proficiency with computer systems and documentation
• Passion for pets
