Small Door is a membership-based veterinary care model delivering 24/7 telemedicine and modern hospitality across clinics. This role supports veterinary teams in clinical care, diagnostics, and medication preparation, with emphasis on compassionate patient handling and client communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of veterinary assistant experience.
• Ability to work weekends (Sat or Sun).
• Comfortable with computers and online tools.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong team player with a caring attitude.
• Excellent client communication and empathy.

Responsibilities

• Recognize medical emergencies and illnesses.
• Assess patients and record vitals for doctors.
• Assist with diagnostics and treatments as directed.
• Handle basic nursing care and husbandry tasks.
• Support radiography and sample prep for labs.
• Run in-house labs and prepare medications.
• Administer medications and assist tele-triage as needed.
• Maintain a hospitable environment and teamwork.
