Are you an experienced Veterinary Assistant looking to take the next step in your career? VCA Dunwoody Veterinary Center is excited to expand our leadership team and is currently seeking a Veterinary Assistant Supervisor to help guide and support our hospital staff in delivering the highest standard of care.

Schedule: Full-time opportunity

Key Responsibilities: As the Veterinary Assistant Supervisor, you will work closely with our medical and hospital leadership teams to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the hospital floor. You will assist in mentoring and supporting the assistant team while continuing to provide hands-on care to our patients.

  • Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and surgical procedures

  • Safely and humanely restrain patients during procedures

  • Administer medications and treatments under veterinary direction

  • Collect and process lab samples (blood, fecal, urine, etc.)

  • Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment and exam areas

  • Accurately document patient care and progress in medical records

  • Educate clients on general pet care, medications, and post-operative instructions

  • Help foster a positive, team-oriented hospital culture

  • Support onboarding, training, and daily coordination of assistant team members

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 2+ years previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to lead by example and support a collaborative team environment.

  • Passion for veterinary medicine and high-quality patient care.
