Job summary

The College of Veterinary Medicine Teaching Hospital at Oklahoma State University is seeking an enthusiastic person to provide clinical assistance and treat small animal patients. You will work with professional staff and veterinary specialists to deliver high-quality care and actively participate in training veterinary students.

Qualifications

• High School/GED (degree conferred on or before start date) with related experience; or AVMA-accredited Vet Tech program with two years experience; or BS in Biological Sciences; or DVM or equivalent.
• Experience in restraint of small animals, injections, IV catheter placement; ability to lift 50+ pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical assistance to staff and perform treatments for patients in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
• Participate in one-on-one training of veterinary students and work with specialists to ensure high standards of care.
• Assist in patient care in the small animal primary care area.

Education

High School/GED or AVMA accredited program in Veterinary Technology or Biological Sciences

DVM or equivalent
