The position emphasizes compassion, accuracy, and teamwork within a trusted national network. Preferred NAVTA-approved VA program or equivalent, plus a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant education is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Must be able to perform VA program skills per NAVTA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Helping maintain the flow of patients
• Communicating with the veterinarian and vet techs
• Carrying out or setting up procedures that do not require veterinarian or vet tech assistance
• Adhering to hospital standards that keep pets safe, and the treatment areas, exam rooms and labs clean and organized
• Educating clients about Optimum Wellness Plans and preventive care
• Mentoring other hospital team members
