Monday Nights only from 8pm-8am

Shift Differential Pay: $2 per hour

Animal Emergency Hospital is seeking an Experienced Veterinary Assistant for a part-time overnight position. If you are a skilled assistant looking to take your skills to the next level in emergency then Animal Emergency Hospital wants to hear from you. This hospital is a fast-paced Emergency Hospital that is dedicated to the care of our patients and their families. This experienced Overnight Veterinary Assistant must feel comfortable placing IV catheters, doing blood draws, ability to monitor anesthesia, assist in surgery comfortably and confidently, understand patient care and plans of treatments, can do critical thinking, critical anesthesia, CRIs, transfusion medicine, oxygen therapy, feeding tubes, and exceptional patient care abilities, and all other duties performed during the evening hours with the hospitalized patients.

This overnight position does not have active intake after 12:00 am. This assistant would be working with another team member caring for the patients who were hospitalized during the daytime hours and getting the hospital stocked and ready for the next day.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of emergency veterinary assistant experience
  • Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
  • Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
  • Understands the importance of excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work and handle patient care without a Dr present
