Sprinkle Road Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant or Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team. We value enthusiasm, compassion, and a willingness to grow, with training available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Vet experience or assistant/technician background.
• Licensed Veterinary Technician licensure in applicable state.
• Animal handling and restraint proficiency.
• Knowledge of preventive care, medications, and vaccines.
• Willingness to learn phlebotomy and in-house lab procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely restrain and handle patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Assist veterinarians in delivering high-quality patient care.
• Obtain medical histories and vital signs (TPRs) as directed.
• Collect diagnostic samples and perform phlebotomy.
• Take radiographs within training scope and perform in-house lab tests.
• Communicate clearly with veterinarians and team members.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient patient-care environment.

What You’ll Do

• Safely and effectively handle and restrain patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures
• Support veterinarians in delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care
• Apply your knowledge of preventive care, medications, and vaccines
• Obtain accurate temperature, pulse, and respiration measurements (TPRs)
• Gather relevant medical histories for patient examinations
• Obtain diagnostic samples as directed by the veterinary team
• Perform phlebotomy and other sample collection
• Assist with and obtain diagnostic radiographs within your training and scope of practice
• Perform in-house laboratory testing
• Communicate important patient information clearly with veterinarians and fellow team members
• Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and efficient patient-care environment
• Work collaboratively with the entire hospital team to support excellent patient outcomes

What You’ll Bring

• Previous veterinary assistant or veterinary technician experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate
• Appropriate state licensure for candidates applying as a Licensed Veterinary Technician
• Confidence with safe and compassionate animal handling and restraint
• Knowledge of preventive care, medications, and vaccines
• Experience with or willingness to learn phlebotomy, sample collection, radiography, and in-house laboratory procedures
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate patient care
