Job summary

Veterinary Specialty Center of Seattle in Lynnwood, WA is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our Neurology team. This full-time role offers a 4-day work week with weekend availability required and opportunities to work alongside veterinarians and skilled technicians in a busy hospital environment.

You will support clinicians, maintain patient records, assist with procedures, educate clients, and help ensure compassionate care for all pets across emergency, neurology, and specialty

Qualifications

  • Veterinary assistant experience required; specialty experience is a bonus.
  • 1–2 years of clinical experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
  • With each hospital function, assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
  • Assist with procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act
  • Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
  • Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
  • Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
  • Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
  • Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members

Compensation is negotiable based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate starting at$23-28hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
