Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians, ensuring pet safety and continuous high‑quality care. You will assist in daily procedures, maintain clean, safe treatment areas, and help educate clients about preventive plans.

Ideal candidates have NAVTA-approved training or equivalent experience, plus a preferred high school diploma. You will contribute to a collaborative team, mentoring colleagues and upholding hospital standards.

Qualifications

• NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent education/experience
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain the flow of patients and assist veterinarians and vet techs
• Communicate with veterinarians and vet techs to coordinate care
• Carry out or set up procedures not requiring a veterinarian or vet tech
• Adhere to hospital standards to keep pets safe and labs/rooms clean
• Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans and preventive care
• Mentor other members of the hospital team
