Kansas State University seeks a Large Animal Veterinary Assistant for their Veterinary Health Center in Manhattan, KS. The Veterinary Health Center (VHC) within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a Large Animal Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated team to help facilitate exemplary patient care and quality customer service. This position is responsible for providing technical assistance services to the KSU-VHC both equine, livestock and equine field service. Primary purpose is to coordinate technical services required for providing quality veterinary care to client, teaching and research patients presented to the equine, livestock services, and field service department(s). This position is also responsible for monitoring 4th year veterinary students and entering information into the electronic medical records system. Stocking and cleanliness of the large animal barn as deemed necessary. Lastly, this position is responsible for coordination of animal treatments and diagnostics along with the supervising DVM on the case. Working hours for this position will include Thursday-Saturday, 10am-10pm.
