Veterinary Assistant

Location: Jacksonville, NC 28540

Schedule: Full-Time Preferred (Part-Time Considered) Weekdays 7:45am–6:30pm, Saturdays 8:45am–12:30pm

Pay Range: $15–$18/hour (based on experience)

Who You Are

  • An experienced Veterinary Assistant withstrong technical skills in:
    • Patient restraint, blood draws, IV catheter placement, vaccine protocols
    • Anesthesia monitoring and client communication
  • A dependable and adaptable team player who brings energy and positivity to work
  • Strong communicator, capable of working in a fast-paced, multi-doctor environment
  • Comfortable with Saturday availability and committed to excellent attendance
  • Eager to contribute to a team-first culture and support a positive work environment
What You’ll Do

  • Assist in patient care, surgical procedures, anesthesia monitoring, and diagnostics
  • Support our DVMs during appointments, exams, treatments, and procedures
  • Perform hands-on tasks including restraining, catheter placement, and injections
  • Communicate clearly with clients on treatment plans, patient updates, and protocols
  • Ensure medical records are complete and accurate
  • Collaborate with other team members to promote hospital efficiency and workflow
  • Participate in continuing education and contribute ideas to hospital improvement efforts
  • Embrace mentorship, growth, and ongoing skill development in a structured, supportive environment
