Job summary

Pima Medical Institute is seeking a part-time Veterinary Assistant Instructor for our Las Vegas campus. The role involves teaching 32 hours per week on-site, delivering hands-on demonstrations, and mentoring adult learners through PMI Methods Program.

You will guide students, assess skills, supervise lab activities, and support program enrichment. Flexible shifts across morning, afternoon, or evening help accommodate availability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of occupational experience in the veterinary field.
• Associate degree from an AVMA CVTEA-accredited Veterinary Technology program.
• Active CVT status in Nevada.

Responsibilities

• Instructional Delivery & Lab Demonstrations: Lead practical demonstrations aligned with curriculum standards.
• Lesson Execution: Implement module lesson plans and deliver lectures.
• Skill Assessment: Evaluate student performance and provide feedback.
• Lab Safety & Inventory: Ensure safety, manage supplies and equipment ordering.
• Student Success & Academic Support: Monitor attendance and assist with student success.
• Academic Recordkeeping: Maintain attendance, weekly reports, and grades.
• Program Enrichment: Arrange guest speakers and externship coordination.
