Job summary

Pima Medical Institute in Las Vegas, NV seeks a part-time Veterinary Assistant Instructor to join the Las Vegas campus for 32 hours per week on-site. The role focuses on delivering instruction, hands-on lab demonstrations, and student mentoring within the PMI Methods Program.

The successful candidate will guide adult learners, manage classroom activities, and engage in program enrichment while offering flexible morning, afternoon, or evening shifts. Must meet credential requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an AVMA CVTEA-accredited Veterinary Technology program.
• Active CVT status in Nevada and at least 3 years veterinary experience.
• Graduate Vet Assistant program or 4 years of relevant experience.
• Current license or certification as required by law.
• Strong verbal and written communication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and lab demonstrations aligned with program curriculum.
• Evaluate student performance and provide feedback to address learning needs.
• Supervise safety in classroom and lab; assist with inventory and ordering.
• Coordinate guest speakers and externship activities for enrichment.
