Qualifications

• NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program required or equivalent
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to perform NAVTA-listed veterinary assistant duties under supervision

Responsibilities

• Maintain flow of patients and assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians
• Communicate with veterinarians and vet techs during procedures
• Perform procedures that do not require veterinarian or vet tech assistance
• Adhere to hospital standards for safety and cleanliness
• Educate clients about preventive care and wellness plans
• Mentor other hospital team members
• Support a culture aligned with Banfield Five Principles
