Job summary

PetVet Care Centers' Falls Road Animal Hospital in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team. You will support veterinarians and technicians by cleaning equipment, restraining patients, and performing clerical tasks while delivering compassionate care to every patient.

Qualifications

• Experience working in veterinary hospitals required.
• Experience in Anesthesia monitoring is preferred.
• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients.
• Greet patients and owners, weigh & record vital signs on arrival.
• Triage patients, perform exams, treatments, and administer medications as directed by licensed staff.
• Calm and soothe anxious patients.
• Assist doctors and technicians with medications or restraints.
• Perform laboratory tests and take radiographs.
• Maintain hospital equipment, kennels, and supplies; ensure safe chemical use.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Show up for work; full-time presence required for every shift.
• Promote hospital products and services and support the organization.
